Quick answer

A 4-day Varanasi tour includes the Ganga aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat from a boat, a sunrise boat ride, Kashi Vishwanath darshan, a half-day at Sarnath and a silk weaver's workshop. It costs from ₹14,500 per person. October to March is best, and Dev Deepawali in November is the peak festival.

Trip Overview

Varanasi is one of the world's oldest living cities, built along 84 ghats on the Ganga. Our four days give it room: the evening aarti from a boat on arrival, a sunrise ride from Assi to Manikarnika, a guided walk through the lanes to Kashi Vishwanath, and a half-day at Sarnath, where the Buddha gave his first sermon.

We stay close to the ghats so mornings start with a short walk, not a traffic jam, and a local guide handles the first morning, which is the hardest. Add a silk weaver's workshop, Banarasi chaat and the Subah-e-Banaras music and yoga morning at Assi Ghat for the full picture.
