Travel Xamp (travelxamp.com) plans India trips for travellers from India and abroad. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it deliberately short because we collect very little.
1. What we collect
Only what you type into our forms or send us on WhatsApp:
- Enquiry form: your name, WhatsApp number (with country code), email, destination or package, travel dates, number of adults and children, and whether you are visiting from outside India. We also record the page you sent the form from.
- Partner form: business name, contact email, destinations serviced, monthly booking volume and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- WhatsApp: your number and whatever you choose to message us.
We do not collect payment details on this website. We do not ask for passport or Aadhaar numbers until you have approved a plan and we need them for a booking, and we ask for them in writing.
2. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry on WhatsApp and by email, and to prepare your itinerary and quote.
- To send the newsletter, if you subscribed. Every letter tells you how to stop.
- To review partner applications.
- To keep the website working and to stop spam (a hidden field filters bots).
3. Who sees it
Form submissions are emailed to our enquiry inbox through Amazon Web Services (SES), which acts as our email processor. Our planners read them. When you approve a trip, we share the details a hotel, driver or guide needs (names, number of guests, dates) with those suppliers so they can serve you.
We do not sell your data, rent it out or use it for advertising. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and its own privacy policy applies to chats there.
4. Cookies and analytics
We do not currently set advertising cookies. When you tap a WhatsApp button, the page records that the tap happened (and from which page) so we can tell which pages help visitors reach us. If we add analytics later, we will list it here first.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become a booking are deleted from our inbox within 24 months. Booking records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounts. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
6. Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Write to blogbyvishal@gmail.com from the address you used and we will act within 30 days. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and if you are in the EU or UK we apply the same rights.
If you are not happy with our reply, you can write to the same address with the subject “Grievance” and we will respond within 15 days.
7. Children
Our forms are for adults. If you are travelling with children, we ask only how many, never their names, until a booking needs them.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. We will not use data you have already given us in a new way without telling you first.
